{this moment} plus some words…

This Moment – A Friday ritual. A
single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple,
special, extraordinary moment. A moment I
want to pause, savor and remember. If you're inspired to do the same,
leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments for all to find and see. Inspired by SouleMama
's Friday tradition.

(While I can't pull off the no words' business of a "this moment" post (who are we kidding?!), I will let the photo above stand alone without a caption…)

Some tidbits to share with you…

Meal Plans ~ I've had several emails requesting that I share our meal plans. Are you
interested in this as a weekly feature? Let me know here or on the
Facebook Page. Bear in mind that we are omnivores. I'd be delighted to share if many of you are interested.

Saturday's Giveaway ~ This weekend we'll be giving away a gentle parenting book from Elizabeth Pantley (author of the No Cry Sleep Solution). Elizabeth has generously donated a signed copy of her latest book, the No Cry Separation Anxiety Solution. Check back tomorrow and leave a comment to be entered in the drawing!

As for me, I'm planning another lovely weekend around here
of gardening, sewing, and remodeling. We're planning for a new floor in our camper by Monday, some mama-made clothes for Lupine, and a sewing
pattern for you! (The hat I promised a week ago.) Sorry for the delay. We
had surprise visitors in town last weekend and I spent my time
laughing, knitting, and swimming instead of sewing. I think you
understand.

Have a delightful weekend!

How do I sign up for the book give away – i have her No Cry Sleep Solution book for my son and LOVE it – as it doesnt advocate letting my baby scream himself to sleep – which would just rip my heart out. I would love this book as now he’s just getting to the age where it’s getting more difficult for anyone but me to hold him. and yes, I would LOVE to see your meal plans!!!

    Love the photo! So cute!!
Meal plans sound fun! I am a veggie but it is still interesting to see how someone else plans their week. It would inspire my plan! Like “hey Rachel’s having taco tuesday…sounds good to me too!”

I absolutely adore your moment. My daughter is almost 18, and this makes me all nostalgic for when she was about three and helping in the garden, just wearing her rubber boots.

    Have a sweet weekend!

    Ren,
Thanks for your thoughts on the photograph. It was a fun shot to make, shooting one handed and barefoot in the flowing water… 🙂 Yours is lovely as well!

I would love to know your meal plans! Yum! I feel uncreative when planning meals at times, and it would be nice to see your ideas!

Such a sweet day to play in the water. Today is the first day of sun in 20 days- off I go- back out to the garden for me! ahhhh!

Thanks for sharing. I love your words, photos, philosophies, and kindness…

I would feel like a thief if I didn’t tell you that I just used your Xcel format for my first meal plan ever! At the very least I feel a little less stressed headed in to the week. I would love to see your Meal Plans, as I’m always looking for ideas, especially now in CSA season (sometimes I’m overwhelmed playing name that herb/leafy green/root). Here on your blog would be easiest for me to get to. THANK YOU for that Plan!!!

    Jodi,
Thanks so much for sharing. It is a good reminder of how quickly time moves.

Your photos are lovely… beautiful lighting of everyday beauty.
