Heading into the Weekend.

A quick post before I jump into an early start to the weekend:

Unplugging: Yesterday was amazing. Giving myself the space to be present with my kids, myself, and my home I found that time expanded. The floors were swept, the kids were content, the meals were on time, and I even worked on the book I am writing. I had more energy for the things that are important to me and felt a fullness beyond what I am accustom to. I set simple parameters and then honored them. Unplug. You won't regret it.

Simplicity Parenting: We will start discussing Chapter 1 of Simplicity Parenting here on the blog next week. If you haven't already, read through this chapter this weekend. (If you don't have your book know that you will surely catch up during the next couple of weeks.) If you would like to join us on Facebook there is a little discussion already beginning over here. The main discussion, however, will be hosted here on Clean.

Birthday: Sunday is my birthday. I just thought you'd want to know. 🙂 I'm in the finally days of 37. Wow. Okay, 38. Bring it on! I'm ready. I think this next year will be big.

LuSa Coupon Code: Enter "Happy Birthday" in the comments field of any LuSa Organics order placed this before the end of the weekend (before April 18) and I'll add something extra to your order at no charge. (In normal gift-giving fashion we'll select something for you.) Think of it as a reverse birthday present.

Have a wonderful weekend, all.

Sending love,
Rachel

Looking forward to the book discussion next week! And I love your idea of reverse gift giving – it’s given me an idea for my business this weekend as Apr 16 is *my* birthday!

I am so excited about the book group. I unplugged for big blocks of the day today and I had the same result-much less mind clutter. I was calmer and more present with the babe. I am thinking of a good unplugged schedule. I need to be able to work and be unplugged as possible.
Love the photo, and most importantly Happy Birthday!!!
Today is my birthday. I love meeting other members of the Aries clan. Have a wonderful weekend!

Love the time that I get to be away from the computer and other electronics! It is amazing and I become much more intentional with what I am doing with my time. Sounds like you really had a great unplugged day!
    Happy Birthday!!

    Lori,
There are two books rattling around in my head and Im just beginning work on introductions, chapter outlines, etc. It is along the lines of what I write about here.
    Hugs,
    Rachel

    Abbie,
And intention is really the core of simplicity, isnt it? It is the wakefulness to decide consciously how we invest our time, energy, money, etc.

    Peace,
    Rachel
