Seeing Beauty.

I had another post planned and even written for today. But then it started to rain. And I wandered outside with my camera (to take pictures of the kids) but only got as far as the tree just past my front door.

The blossoms were… luscious. The scent, the texture, the round droplets of rain. I stood there, awe-struck by the incredible beauty of it all.

So here are a few flowers that I wanted to share with you. I can't even bring myself to Photoshop them for fear of diluting the magic somehow.

Moments like this I live for. Because dinner can wait. Sweeping can wait. The laundry, wet once more out on the line, can certainly wait.

The magic of these blossoms can not.

What beauty might we miss when with our heads down, brows furled, as we hurry through this day? May you, too, see beauty this glorious day.

Thank you for this. It did my heart good today, and made me feel a little sentimental. My 10 1/2 month old and I spent a good part of our day standing in the grass admiring flowers and sunshine while my floors remained unswept and my laundry remained unfolded. Life is for living. My aunt tells me a perfect home is a sign of a misspent life.

You take beautiful photographs by the way.
