Thank you all for your kind, sensitive, supportive, and loving words yesterday. I read each and every comment and you touched my heart.
This morning we're back at the "old house" packing a few more things and checking email (no internet at the farm yet). I'm tired, but full of gratitude for all of the friends who have stepped up to help and for just how far we've come already.
As I type this Lupine just walked up to me – in the only house she has ever known – and said, "Mama, I want to go home." After one night Sage reported that he feels more at home at the farm than he ever has before. So it's good. Exhausting and scary but so very good.
Today I'm blogging over on Simple Homeschool. Come on over for a read.
Hugs all around,
Rachel
How wonderful that your kids feel at home so quickly. I know you must be tired, but what a wonderful thing for all of you!
We are so very very excited for you all! What a beautiful adventure you have begun. Sending lots of love your way. xo
Congratulations on your big move! Not only the physical location, but getting back to where you feel you belong. It’s amazing how some places just feel like home, and it looks like your family has found its place. There really is no place like home. I’m so happy for you and your family.
Can’t wait to hear about and see more of the farm! The driftless is so exquisite, isn’t it? It’s quite possible that of all the landscapes in the world, Wisconsin’s driftless is my favorite. Of course, I’m a wee bit biased having grown up in Madison.
My parents just closed on a place near Richland Center; we’re very excited to spend more time in the hills!
Best of luck with all the settling in.
I am SO excited for you guys to have found your home at last. 🙂 Can’t wait to ‘meet’ it through the blog. 🙂
Thank you Nettie! Pete and I realized recently that we first looked at this very farm just before I came to visit you all. Amazing? I think so. xo
