Repeat after me:
My life is beautiful.
My world is magic.
I am blessed.
Despite the messes, the rough nights, the heartache.
Despite everything that hasn't turned out quite the way you expected.
Sometimes life's beauty is more about the rain than the flowers anyway.
And our lives need both in equal measure.
So let's make today about choosing our perspective and accepting imperfection.
Let's release what's in the background and mindfully choose where we focus our hearts.
Because probably you didn't notice the plastic lattice, the bicycles, and the old satellite dish behind those flowers. Because who cares.
It's about where you look and what you crop.
What you release. What you allow.
It can transform us.
So look at yourself, your life, your family today and choose which picture you see and which story you tell.
Because even a grey, cold September morning, a messy yard, and a fading autumn flower bed can be beautiful – if only we know where to look.
Love,
Rachel
Goosebumps. I needed this reminder today.. Photos of my two littles in their new red wagon, their shining faces and arms around each other in focus.. The ugly blue tarp covering the huge sandbox in the background, bugging me a lot less. Thank you, Rache,l for helping me to soften my heart and my lens:)
Sweet post–thank you! Lovely photos too 🙂
stunning shots! I love that bee. I want to paint her/him!
We all need a reminder now and then: to appreciate what we have and be always grateful…
So beautiful- both the sentiment and images- life is beautiful- thank you for the reminder!
Speaks to my heart!
I personally love the term “perspectacles” — putting them on can certainly turn your day around!
