Lovely! I am enjoying the lilacs this year – just moved back to New England after being in the south (where it’s too hot for lilacs). I missed them; they remind me of my grandmother.
I like to see glimpses of your world because it feels like a different planet. My world is dry and prickly and brown. There are places with flowers and rain and green? 🙂
They remind me of my grandma, too. She lived not far from here and one edge of her property was a long row of lavender lilacs. I keep thinking of going and knocking on the door and asking if I can dig a few for memory’s sake.
Lilac is one of my favourite Spring scents. It takes me straight back to childhood – standing on the lawn with my mother, picking sprays of lilac for the house and running away from the bumble bees!

I picture a wave of opening buds moving northward…
Different worlds indeed! (Thought we also have prickly pear here, so we have green plus prickers.) 🙂
