Sometimes life requests that we put aside the schedule and go outside and play.
If schools can have a snow day so can we, I decided.
Because lately these picture-perfect winter days feel rare and precious indeed.
And there was fresh, deep snow just begging us to run though and roll in and enjoy. Plus with all that heavy snow in the driveway no one was going anywhere for a while.
So we put our work aside and spent most of Tuesday and Wednesday romping in the snow. Sure, there was lots of shoveling and plowing to attend to but mostly we spent our days building quinzhees (snow forts), sledding, and playing in the fresh white fluff.
And it was just what we needed.
I hope you find a good excuse as well to unplug and get outside to feel the wind on your face. It'll be good for you. I promise.
Love,
Rachel
I completely agree with you! We’ve done the same! And snow has been sparse this year here as well. We’ve only had two occasions when snow suits and sleds were warranted.
the sheep..the snow…the kids…lucky you! We have had no snow at all this winter. I love seeing the pictures of it piled high and white! enjoy
