I just love it when a plan comes together

Most of my week is spent at home, doing the things I share with you here.

Homeschooling, hiking, taking care of kids and animals and farm projects – that sort of thing.

But as most of you also know, I spend a piece of every week working on or in my body care business, LüSa Organics. (Get it – "Clean"? Right. That.)

It's my secret identity. The business woman, disguised as an introverted homeschooling muck-boot-wearing mom blogger.

And while I don't bring a lot of my LüSa work life into this space, today I had to share. I just knew you'd appreciate my latest project.

Are you ready? Because it's fan-freaking-tastic.

(As far as screen printed mason jars go anyway.)

LuSa Organics Mason Jar Cup | Clean.

LuSa Organics Mason Jar Cup | Clean.

LuSa Organics Mason Jar Cup | Clean.

LuSa Organics Mason Jar Cup | Clean.

Three drinking jars, each one with a different uplifting message ("Be you bravely", "Follow your bliss ~ Joseph Campbell", and "Believe in goodness").

The little decorations that surround the text? Those are lupine flowers. Boom.

All that I really want to say is: I. Love. These. I love them.

I also love to think that the words on these jars will infuse every drink they hold with their magic.

I created the jars to be LüSa's first ever promotional item. (Because really, who needs another t-shirt with a logo on it?)

Free of nasty plastics and infinitely reusable they are – in my opinion – the best travel cup around.

I'll be offering them for sale on my website soon, but for now I'm just giving them away.

They jars are now for sale! You can buy yours right here, right now.

(Insert cheering!)

If you'd like one, all you have to do is place a retail order on my website before February 1 for $45 or more and add a comment of "mason jar" to your order during checkout. Then tell us which jar you'd like! (Be You, Bliss, or Goodness.)

The giveaway jars will ship with a stainless steel straw and BPA-free Tattler lid. (We'll offer them for sale with Cuppow lids later this month.)

Since not everyone has the means to place an order of that size, how about I give a jar away here, too? To enter just leave a comment on this post. I'll choose a winner (or two…) next week.

Comments are now closed! The winners are:

Fawn who said:

Love 'em, hope I win 🙂

and Angie who said:

These are so, so, soooo sweet. And I'm almost as excited to find stainless steel straws and BPA free lids!

Do you love them? I love them.

Love,
Rachel

P.S. Of course you can also make your own straw cup from a mason jar at home. My tutorial is here!

  16. Caroline says:

    Hi,
I have been homeschooling my daughter for just over a year now. Yesterday I was asked why I decided to homeschool. So I talked about the beginning of our journey and how it started here on this blog, lusaorganics. I explained how I went from thinking, ‘how odd, to that sounds quite nice, to lucky them what a wonderful life, to I wish we could do that, to why don’t we do that,to why don’t we just jump on this crazy ride and give it a GooooOoooooYIKESssssssssSsssSsssWOWwwwwwwwwwWEeeeeeeeeEEeeeeE!! It has changed our lives and our relationships in a most profound way and I will never be able to thank you enough for showing me a different path and giving me the courage to step onto it and do things differently. lusa is a special word to me because your words here gifted to me a way to deeply connect with my daughter. I don’t have the words….yes I do….Thank you.
    Caroline

  17. Erika says:

Oh!! I want one! Or all of them!
    *checking the balance* Draft
I haven´t washed up the christmasy soaps I ordered either so I can not push it any further. Keeping my thumbs pressed very hard for good luck here.
Images of walking to rehab (5weeks course in painmanagment due to my MS,fibromyalgia and bondingtissue-problems) with this in my hand instead of thoose plastic bottles comes in mind. Oh I hope I win

  18. HeatherJoy says:

Oh my! I hope I win! When I was visiting my brother and sister-in-law they drank out of mason jars and ever since I got back home I’ve wanted to drink out of the again. 🙂

  19. Amanda M says:

Fan-freaking-tastic is right ya’, homeschooling muck-boot-wearing mom blogger lady. GAWSH, why can’t I be so crafty and creative like you?! I can already see myself taking my green smoothies in these babies to class.

  20. Annie says:

Well, that’s the most beautiful use of a mason jar ever. I love the lupines. And the words. And of course the ability to have a clean wonderful tasting drink!

  21. kendra says:

i have been meaning to share with you – we love the little magnets that come with our soap. my boy makes poems that crack him up. and… they have been showing up on the inside of my washing machine too.

after a night time bout of awful sickness that had me doing load after load of vomit-soaked blankets and sheets, i found myself staring at a little magnet word amongst the grossness = bliss. and laughter came.

    thought you’d understand. : )

  22. Ally says:

Love the Be You Bravely. Goes perfectly with my intention word of the year – courage. They are great. I will surely order one if I don’t win. Thank you for designing these!

  23. Jenn Krivanek says:

  25. Megan says:

  26. Lori says:

Inserting LOTS of cheering here, Rachel! We’ve been waiting for these since the tutorial! Please add our little log house to your draw list, and congratulations!!

  27. Karen C says:

LOVE these jars! I drink out of a mason jar with a homemade straw-holding lid and a stainless steel straw, but it pales in comparison to any one of your jars! What a great way to promote your business.

  28. Becky Marie says:

Nice, and I like that they come with both types of lids. This way you’re good no matter how the mood strikes!

  29. Kelly says:

Those are awesome!!! It has been shown that words taped to water bottles changes the molecule structure of water. No doubt the positive words on these jars will infuse positive energy into every drink they hold.

  30. KC says:

EEK! I love it. I wish I had waited to place an order until now! But how could I have known. Be you bravely is my favorite!

  31. Alexis Shallberg says:

Ahhh! I love these! I was just thinking to myself TODAY that I need to get a glass (or jar!) with a lid and straw because I really do drink so much more water throughout the day when I have one with me at all times. To have one with an inspirational message is, like, 100x better, AND, its not plastic! I hope I am randomly chosen for this! Thanks lady! You are a hard worker and a person who consistently encourages and uplifts her readers. I appreciate it.

  32. Jenna says:

New to the site, but LOVE the lifestyle. Inspires. Thanks for letting us peek in to the wonder that is YOU & YOUR PEEPS! Can’t wait to see what’s next. Love the jars – have been wanting to purchase lids/straws forever on etsy but haven’t gotten around to it. I may have to buy a few when you start selling – great for my women’s group! Thanks Again!

  33. Angie says:

These are so, so, soooo sweet. And I’m almost as excited to find stainless steel straws and BPA free lids!

  34. Lauren Wolff says:

i love these Rachel!!! The “Be You Bravely” jar is my fav! I placed a big order a few days ago, so hopefully that will work? Mason Jar inspiration!! There is nothing like it!! 🙂 You rock!!!!

  35. Fräulein Rucksack says:

I think it’s a pity that you don’t share more about your business work here. Why don’t you? I don’t mean more give aways and that kind of things. Just words and fotos.
    Those jars are truely sweet!

  36. Christen Girt says:

I would love to own one of your awesome Mason Jars! I would say that I would make one myself, but with three boys under 4 I don’t have much time! These Mason Jars are awesome and inspiring, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the “Follow your bliss” jar, just what I need to have to remind myself everyday! Your SO talented!

  37. Megan says:

I’m ordering your scratch and dent soap again today since it’s back up but I won’t be able to get to the $45 cut-off so I would love to win a cup. My typical cup of choice is a mason jar anyway but it tends to spill in my car frequently. 🙁

  38. Alyssa says:

Love them! I knit & felted some mason jar carriers last year for holiday gifts… one is still in my home and I’d love to tote around one of these beauties! (yes, better than T-shirts, for sure).

  39. Rachel Wolf says:

I’ll look into it, Lauren. Unfortunately (or fortunately!) we ship very fast and I suspect your order has already left the building. We’ll figure something out, friend!

  40. Rachel Wolf says:

Oh, my! Such a great story. Thanks for sharing, Kendra. (P.S. we just tucked away the beautiful mistletoe you sent me way back when. It is safely awaiting another holiday.) Feel well over there!

  41. Bonnie says:

  43. Marie says:

They are beautiful! I’d love one. I already had your tutorial bookmarked and had been looking around for some cool blue canning jars…but these are even cooler! What a great idea!

  44. Brandi says:

I’m a native Wisconsin girl trapped in KY. I visit your blog when I am feeling homesick. Oh, and because it’s awesome! I don’t know how you ever say “no” to Lupine’s beautiful face. Have a blessed day!

  45. Katelyn Grace Pendleton says:

I rememver when you asked for ideas, and rhis ine came up. Amazing! I would love one. The stainless steel straw rocks my world too!

  46. Juli says:

I truly love them all! What a wonderful idea! I try to keep my screen time down to a minimum, but I have not been able to give up your blog. I find it so inspiring. So while I have deleted much of my email reading…I keep you for those doses of sanity you provide! Keep doing what you do best!

  47. sarah andersen says:

Mason Jars have always reminded me of my Grandma and the weeks spent with her when I was young. I have them all over the house. My youngest is named Mason, and a wonderfully funny uncle that has since passed has called him “jar” since his birth. Hopefully the nickname wont stick, but we always have the memories.

  48. Alison says:

First time I have ever commented on a blog before. Bare with me…Do I check and read your blog more than my own email? Yes!! I’m always so amazed how internet is such a small world. I saw your link thru another blog..saw the lusa organic’s which I used to buy at the wedge in minneapolis and then found Clean. My family and I have since moved but find ourselves living our dream of homesteading on a 11 acrea diamond in the rough in Nebraska. Reading your blog gives me the encourgement that I need as a mother, wife, and now homesteader. Thank you for that.

  49. Melissa Rondez says:

If I had more time to DIY, I would try making these myself. However, since I don’t…I would LOVE to win one.

  50. Carrie @ November Morning says:

*cheers* They’re beautiful! I don’t know which I like best, perhaps “Be You Bravely” as I need that reminder every now and then. The stainless steel straw is a brilliant addition as well. Thank you for putting so much goodness into the world!♥

  51. Jen says:

    Wonderful jars.

I was just introduced to your blog by Loma. Thanks for sharing your life. I’m a homeschooling mom and writer/blogger in western Massachusetts.

May you reveal as many of your secret identities as you can stand.

  52. Tanya Hulbert says:

These are just beautiful. Love the wording, love the style. Great work, Rachel. Thanks for the chance.

  53. Dreamer...Becky says:

Oh Rachel… You’ve done it again!!!
    SIMPLY.AMAZING.
In every way possible ~ pure goodness!
Thank you for dreaming ~ for creating ~ for gifting!
We’d LOVE them & would treasure that reminder to “believe in Goodness” in this brand new year & beyond+*+*+
Oh & the lupines..they add even more magic (:
    xox

  54. Christina says:

Love, love, love these! Just placed 2 order through your website to stock up on Lusa products until I can see you again at the Madison Farmers market. I hope you will have the mason jars for sale by the time market season starts.

  55. Lizzie says:

I absolutely love the idea that what you are drinking becomes infused with the magic of the words on the jar…so wonderful.

  56. Knitting Mole says:

Oh sure, give away the good stuff and suddenly you’ve got 150 comments!! I thought for sure, as one of the regular commentators who annoys you with my babbling, I would have a chance as these goodies! But alas, I am in fierce competition 🙂
Be it known…I REALLY want one!! All the messages you picked are great! And I REALLY REALLY want one of those cool straws! (Been meaning to order some…)

  57. tameka says:

They are fan-freakin-tastic! I love them all. If I could have only one, I would take the “goodness” one. Thanks!

  58. Knitting Mole says:

Silly woman, you started the blog to show the family behind LuSa Organics! So it can’t hurt to share a bit more of the business surely? 🙂 We won’t mind at all! In fact, it will be nice to know that we are able to buy a wee little slice of your happy crunchy CLEAN life thru LuSa!

  59. Terry says:

Beautiful jars! I’ve been meaning to make some, but haven’t yet. Would love to be chosen for this give-away!

  60. Tara says:

Mason jars are our go-to “cup” in this house and I LOVE the sayings on yours! My family strongly believes that we vote with every purchase we make and consider who we are supporting when we buy products.

We love your soaps and lotions and the lives that are supported by it! What a good reason to place another order!

  61. Carrie says:

How cool! I would love this for a dear friend who could use some words of encouragement as a daily reminder!

  62. Moon M. says:

Those are fantastic! And if I had any money I would not hesitate to buy the three of them right now! 🙁 #brokeuntilfurthernotice

  63. Nicole says:

What a fantastic idea! I love how this speaks to your lifestyle and values, like all the LuSa products. Cheers!

  64. Rachel Wolf says:

We’ll keep selling them until we run out, Christina. But please know that we won’t be at farmer’s market anymore. The drive just got to be too much for us. Sorry for any disappointment!

  65. Tammy says:

Those ARE fan-freaking-tastic!! Looking for an alternative to the plastic sippy cup my daughter uses in the car. I think I may knit a cozy for it though to decrease the breakage factor. OR maybe I will keep it for myself. OR just get two! <3

  66. Chauna Irvin says:

I absolutely love your blog! I’ve been on a journey the last year, trying to find resources to learn how to eat organic, non-gmo, and make better choices for my family. My husband and I grew up in households where junk food abounded and never really learned what real nutrition was. I’m trying to make better choices to teach my children that raw food is better than something you can buy in a box at the store. It has been a bit overwhelming at times, but I think we are getting the hang of it. 🙂

  67. Jennifer says:

These are beautiful! So practical since mason jars are good for everything, but also lovely. Thanks for adding in an extra bit of beauty in the world. I love the idea of stainless steel straws-brilliant!

Also, thank you for sharing your world. Your journey to owning your own farm is inspiring. I am saving and planning to hopefully make that happen for my family one day!

  68. Christina says:

I just bought my first cuppow lid, so it would be FANTASTIC to have a sweet mason jar to go with it. Awesome idea – love it!!!

  69. CathyT says:

As my older teens will tell me, you can spot a homeschool mom by the kind of cup she carries. Mason jars means homeschoolers! Love the quotes and flowers.
